The V7 is built for all-season, all-discipline use. The ventilated Lycra/mesh construction manages body temperature well enough for summer mountain biking, trail riding, and BMX — sports where body temperature runs significantly higher than on-snow disciplines. The D3O® pads respond to impacts regardless of season or surface type. Riders use the V7 across snowboarding, freestyle skiing, mountain biking, BMX, motocross, and any other gravity sport where upper body protection matters. The ACF compression fit and side zipper make it easy to layer under or wear standalone depending on conditions.

The Demon Ghost Rib Protector is an optional add-on that wraps from the spine to the stomach with high-density Dura Foam and a hard deflection shell, providing full torso protection between your back pad and your front. The V7 top protects the shoulders, elbows, back, ribs, and abdomen well on its own — but the Ghost Rib is for riders who want complete cocoon-level coverage with no gaps. It's particularly valuable for park riders taking rib-catching slams on boxes, freeride skiers charging consequences terrain, and anyone who has previously broken or bruised ribs and wants maximum torso defense.

Yes. The V7 is built with a ventilated Lycra/mesh construction and ACF compression fit specifically designed to sit close to the body under outerwear. The low-cut neckline and ergonomic side zipper reduce bulk at the collar and chest — the two areas where impact tops most commonly create visible thickness under a jacket. The pad layout is designed to not create pressure points against jacket lining during riding. Most riders wear the V7 directly over a moisture-wicking base layer, under their shell or insulated jacket.

X-Connect is Demon's proprietary connection system that physically links compatible Demon impact tops and bottoms, closing the gap between upper and lower body protection at the mid-section. Without X-Connect, there's typically an unprotected zone between where an impact top ends and shorts begin — exactly where a fall on a rail or box can catch you. X-Connect eliminates that gap and adds a low lumbar pad for extended lower spine coverage. It's compatible with Demon V4, V5, V6, and V7 impact tops.

I recently purchased the Demon Flexforce X V6 D3O / XRD Men's Impact Top from Demon United and I would like to share my experience.
I have already tested it and my first impressions are excellent. I chose size Medium, and for my body type (height 1.78 m / 5'10" and weight 76 kg / 167 lbs) the fit was very good. It fits the body comfortably and securely without restricting movement, which is very important for me.
In terms of protection, it offers a very high level of safety. The D3O and XRD materials provide great impact protection while still remaining comfortable during use.
I would also like to highlight the extremely fast shipping. The product arrived in Greece in just 5 days, which exceeded my expectations.
Finally, I would like to say thank you for the gift included in the package. It was a very pleasant surprise and shows great attention to customers.
Overall, I am very satisfied with both the product and the service from Demon United, and I would definitely choose them again in the future.

Does the job. Comfortable, adjustable, great protection, not too heavy or bulky. Just wish it was cheaper and more ribs/stomach protection

The product arrived very quickly, thank you for the fast delivery! I’m really looking forward to testing it out on the slopes next week. It feels incredibly lightweight, protection level (D3O/XRD) looks very high and reliable.

For reference regarding the sizing: I am 190 cm tall and weigh 88 kg. The X-Large fits perfectly—not too tight, but secure enough to stay in place. I will update my review once I’ve had a chance to use it in action.

I love this piece, it provides a protection that will you confidence when riding. I've felt better going off bigger jumps, drops and rails with this, Paired with the flexforce v6 impact shorts, the x connect allows you to connect you tops to your bottoms. Providing a seamless full back protection while also providing a warm base layer. Back chest shoulder and elbows protection with the D3 is unmatched. I will say its not too bulky honestly, I might size up my coat to have more comfort but its not restricting. the flexibility, mobility versus protection ratio of the Impact Top are unmatched. If you want a little less padding as well you can remove the additional D3 chest piece as well.

I did not use this protection while snowboarding, but as soon as I tried it on, it became very clear that this is more of an illusion of protection rather than real impact protection.

This feels like a compression shirt with some soft padding. It does not provide real rib protection and would not help in a serious fall or impact. The side and rib areas are especially weak and offer almost no structural support.

For the price, I expected actual protection, but this product is mostly comfort and flexibility, not safety. It might help against light bruises, but it will not prevent rib injuries or fractures.

If you are looking for real rib or chest protection, especially after an injury, this is not the right product.

Great protection

Can not say enough about the way this thing fits perfectly with slight strap adjustment. Also the way that you enter and exit it are very unique, but also having suffered a collar bone break that's still healing, it doesn't hurt to get into our out of. As well as the interlocking feature which i already raved about with my review of the pants.

All in all I now own an entire head to shins protective system all demon united and it all works superbly.

This thing rocks!! Once I had all my gear on I didn't even notice it. I took a crazy fall snowboarding going a little over 40mph, and got right back up and boarded away.

Picture looked like the protection would be more than it really has. After receiving the item I feel the protection will be minimal and the impact cushion with sliding or skidding may not be very effective. I did get the chest protector and glad I did because what comes with it is a thin piece of foam. The chest plate should come with it but it will also be minimal of protection. The Leatt seems to offer better protection in my opinion at the same cost.
