Demon United is committed to making its website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that all riders — regardless of ability — should be able to browse, shop, and access information about our protective gear with ease. We are continually working to improve the experience for every user and to meet recognized accessibility standards.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These internationally recognized guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities. WCAG 2.1 AA is also the benchmark referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for websites.
What we’ve done
As part of our ongoing accessibility efforts, we have:
- Added descriptive alternative (alt) text to product imagery across our catalog so screen-reader users can understand every product.
- Verified that text and interface colors meet WCAG AA contrast requirements for readability.
- Added a pause control to auto-playing video so it can be stopped at any time.
- Ensured form fields, headings, page language, navigation landmarks, and a “skip to content” link are properly implemented for assistive technology.
- Confirmed the site can be navigated by keyboard, with visible focus indicators.
We assess our site using a combination of automated testing tools (such as WAVE by WebAIM) and manual review, and we re-check accessibility after significant updates.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time task. We continue to monitor and improve our site, and we recognize that some content provided through third-party applications or plugins may not yet be fully accessible. Where that is the case, we work with those providers to improve it.
