Description
Snowboard & MTB Padded Shorts — Demon X V7 D3O Impact, Women's
Twenty-five years of rider feedback, built into the most adjustable lower-body padding we've made.
D3O® pads cushions the tailbone and seat, Plush pads cover the hip area and thighs, and an internal, removable pad sets additional padding exactly where you want it. From your first park lap to your ten-thousandth.
Features
- D3O® + Plush padding — D3O® pads + A.I. air-channel padding at the tailbone and seat, with Plush pads cushioning the hip area and thighs.
- D3O® tailbone pad — Rate-sensitive D3O® that stays soft while you ride and firms up under compression, with a thin integrated shell face that resists scuffs. Removable for washing.
- A.I. Plush Padding™ (Air Pad Integrated) — Zone-mapped air-channel padding that varies softness as you move, so the shorts feel like part of you rather than something strapped on.
- T.P.S. V2 (Total Padding System) — An insert with 2 inches of multi-directional adjustability; slide and lock the tailbone pad where your body and riding style want it.
- C.B.I.S. (Cross-Belt Integration System) — Dual overlapping tension straps hold the waist and stop the pads from sagging or rotating.
- X-Connect compatible — Links to a Demon X top to close the lower-to-upper-body gap and add a low lumbar pad. Works with V4–V7 systems.
- All-day wearability — Ventilated Lycra/mesh blend — lightweight, moisture-wicking and low-profile under snow, ski or MTB pants.

Intended use
For snowboarding, skiing and mountain biking only. Not for motorsports. Designed to cushion minor impacts and reduce bruising, scuffs and abrasions from falls typical of these sports. No protective equipment can prevent serious injury. Fit it snug, check it for damage before each use, and replace it if it is cracked, torn or worn.
For park, freeride, all-mountain and technical MTB riders who want the most adjustable padding in the range. Riders who want a simpler, lower-profile short should look at the Zero PLUS RF.

A D3O® T6 pad cushions the tailbone and seat, Demon's A.I. (Air Pad Integrated) Plush Padding™ covers the hips and thighs, and the T.P.S. V2 (Total Padding System) lets you slide the tailbone pad to where you want it.
X-Connect links the X V7 shorts and pants to a Demon X top, closing the gap between lower and upper body padding and adding a low lumbar pad. This is padding architecture, not just fluff.
For park, freeride, all-mountain and technical MTB riders who want the most adjustable padding in the range — the pants carry it down to the knee.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Zero RF shorts and the X V7 Impact Shorts?
They're built for different riders and different days. The Zero RF is a slim, low-profile everyday short — recycled D3O® RF foam and an ESPRO™ pad at the tailbone, plus plush comfort foam at the hips and seat. It disappears under any pants. The X V7 is the most adjustable short in the range: a D3O® T6 tailbone pad, Plush pads at the hips and thighs, the T.P.S. V2 adjustable insert, C.B.I.S. dual straps and X-Connect. Choose by fit and adjustability: simple and slim, the Zero RF; fully adjustable, the X V7.
How is the X V7 different from the V6 and previous Demon impact shorts?
The X V7 introduces three key upgrades over the V6: the new A.I. Plush Padding™ system (zone-mapped, air-integrated comfort architecture), the T.P.S. V2 (2-inch multi-directional adjustable pad insert for custom fit), and the C.B.I.S. Cross-Belt Integration System (dual straps that prevent pad migration and sagging). The X V7 retains full X-Connect compatibility and cross-generation support for V4–V7 systems.
What is the T.P.S. (Total Padding System V2) and how do I use it?
The T.P.S. V2 is a removable black foam insert built into the shorts that slides 2 inches in any direction, so you can set the tailbone pad exactly where you want it. To adjust: open the outer shorts layer to reach the insert, slide it to your preferred position and secure it. Many riders set it slightly higher or lower depending on how they sit and ride. The separate black foam comfort layer is optional — many riders remove it for a lower-profile fit.
What is the C.B.I.S. (Cross-Belt Integration System)?
C.B.I.S. is Demon's dual overlapping tension strap system that holds the waist and keeps the whole pad array in position while you ride. A single elastic waistband can sag or rotate during aggressive movement; C.B.I.S. shares the tension across two overlapping straps, so the padding stays where you set it without squeezing the waist — from first run to last.
