Description
Demon United X V7 D3O® A.I. Women's Impact Padded Pants
25 years of rider feedback, built into the most advanced lower-body padding we've ever made.
A D3O® impact pad shields your tailbone and buttocks, Plush pads cushion your hips and thighs, and certified knee pads carry the coverage all the way down — with a fit system you can dial in to the millimeter. From your first park lap to your ten-thousandth, these are the pants for when you're done compromising.
Features
- D3O® + Plush padding — A D3O® impact pad shields the tailbone and buttocks, with Plush pads cushioning the hips and thighs. The upgraded T6 tailbone pad adds a flex shell to help deflect blows.
- EN 1621-1 knee pads — Certified knee pads with comfort-foam integration extend impact coverage down the leg for the hits that land below the hip.
- A.I. Plush Padding™ (Air Pad Integrated) — Zone-mapped air-channel padding varies softness and airflow as you flex, compress, and absorb impact, so it feels like part of you rather than armor strapped on.
- T.P.S. V2 (Total Padding System) — An industry-first modular insert with 2 inches of multi-directional adjustability; slide and lock your coverage exactly where your body and riding style want it.
- C.B.I.S. (Cross-Belt Integration System) — Dual overlapping tension straps lock the waist and stop the pad array from sagging or rotating, so your padding stays put from first run to last — without cutting off circulation.
- X-Connect compatible — Links directly to a Demon impact top to close the lower-to-upper-body gap and add a low lumbar pad. Cross-compatible with Demon V4–V7 systems.
- All-day wearability — Ventilated Lycra/mesh blend is lightweight, moisture-wicking, and low-profile enough to layer cleanly under snow, ski, or MTB pants without bulk.

Three integrated D3O® impact pads, a CE EN 1621-1 certified hip pad covers the tailbone, Demon's new A.I. (Air Pad Integrated) Plush Padding™ system, and an industry-first T.P.S. (Total Padding System V2) that lets you dial in your fit.
X-Connect Technology links the X V7 shorts directly to your X impact top, closing the gap between lower and upper body protection and adding a low lumbar pad for extended spine coverage. This is protection architecture, not just padding.
The X V7 is built for riders who take big hits: freeride and all-mountain snowboarders on hardpack and ice; mountain bikers on technical descents; and anyone who has taken one bad slam and decided it will never happen unprotected again.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Zero RF shorts and the X V7 Impact Shorts?
They're built for different riders and different days. The Zero RF is a slim, low-profile everyday pad — recycled D3O RF foam and an ESPRO EN 1621-1 certified shell at the tailbone, plus plush comfort foam at the hips and seat. It disappears under any pants and is designed to be worn without thinking about it. The X V7 is the full-send option: triple D3O pads, adjustable TPS V2 insert, C.B.I.S. dual strap system, and coverage engineered for riders taking serious hits in the park, pipe, or backcountry. If you're progressing hard or crashing with intent, the X V7 is the right tool. If you want reliable daily protection without the bulk or cost, the Zero RF is built for that.
How is the X V7 different from the V6 and previous Demon impact shorts?
The X V7 introduces three key upgrades over the V6: the new A.I. Plush Padding™ system (zone-mapped, air-integrated comfort architecture), the T.P.S. V2 (2-inch multi-directional adjustable pad insert for custom fit), and the C.B.I.S. Cross-Belt Integration System (dual straps that prevent pad migration and sagging). The X V7 retains full X-Connect compatibility and cross-generation support for V4–V7 systems.
What is the T.P.S. (Total Padding System V2) and how do I use it?
The T.P.S. V2 is a removable black foam pad insert built into the shorts that slides 2 inches in any direction to let you position your primary protection zone exactly where your body needs it. To adjust: remove the outer shorts layer to access the insert, slide it to your preferred position, and secure. Many riders position it slightly higher for tailbone-first falls, or lower for heavy butt landings. The included black insert is a separate optional comfort layer — most serious riders remove it for a lower-profile fit. The black TPS insert provides an additional layer of GAP protection.
What is the C.B.I.S. (Cross-Belt Integration System)?
C.B.I.S. is Demon's dual overlapping tension strap system that stabilizes the waist and locks the entire pad array in position during riding. Standard impact shorts rely on a single elastic waistband that can sag or rotate during aggressive movements and falls. C.B.I.S. distributes tension across two overlapping straps, preventing shifting without over-compressing the waist. The result is padding that stays exactly where you set it through drops, crash landings, and a full day of hard riding.
