Ski & Snowboard Tuning Tools, Wax & Board Care
Tuning supplies by the piece — wax, slide irons, edge tuners, diamond files, metal scrapers, brushes, P-Tex and base cleaner, plus board-care extras like leashes, binding hardware and wall mounts. Replace what you ran out of, or build your bench from scratch.
What each tool actually does
- Base cleaner — strips old wax and dirt so new wax bonds instead of sitting on top.
- Wax irons — melt wax into the base at a controlled temperature. A clothes iron has no low-temp control and will scorch a base permanently.
- Scrapers — plastic for removing cooled wax; metal for hardened overflow and levelling P-Tex repairs.
- Brushes and buff pads — brass opens the base structure before waxing, nylon removes the bulk after scraping, horsehair finishes. Buff pads polish last.
- Edge tuners and files — set the side and base edge angle. Diamond stones deburr and finish without removing steel.
- P-Tex sticks — fill gouges before they spread to the core.
- Vises and benches — hold the board still and level. The single biggest upgrade if you tune more than twice a season.
- Hardware — binding screws, mounting hardware and drivers.
