Ski Tuning Kit

The complete ski tuning kit — dual-voltage wax iron, 90/88 edge tuner, five USA-made waxes, files, brushes, scrapers and P-tex in one heavy-duty case. Everything you need to wax, sharpen and repair your own skis at home (works for snowboards too).

About $249 of tools. $159.99 as a kit.
Every item in this ski tuning kit is sold on its own at Demon too — bought separately they come to roughly $249, so the kit saves you about $89. A shop tune runs $40–60 a pair; this kit pays for itself in three tunes.

Sharp edges are what let you hold an edge on firm snow and ice. Fresh wax is what keeps your skis running and turning easily instead of grabbing. Most skiers pay a shop for both several times a season; this kit gives you a full tuning bench in a case so you can do it yourself in about twenty minutes — instructions and how-to videos included.

What this kit does

  • Edge sharpening — 90/88° edge tuner with shavings brush, bastard file, flat file and tuning stone for side and base edges. Sharpen dull edges and knock down burrs after rock hits.
  • Hot waxing — Dual-voltage slide iron with an adjustable temperature dial, five waxes covering cold to warm snow, and a full brush set (brass, nylon, horsehair) for a fast, structured base.
  • Base repair — White and black P-tex plus a metal scraper to fill and level gouges and core shots before waxing.
  • Ski-specific — Brake retainers hold your ski brakes up and out of the way so you can wax and file without a fight.

Features

  • Dual-voltage slide iron — Runs on 110–220v; switch on the back and use your country adaptor (ships set up for USA 110v). Easy temperature dial adjusts from low to high. Min approx. 80c/140f, max approx. 180c/350f. Adjustable-temp iron with lifetime warranty.
  • Complete tool & brush set — Files, brushes, scrapers, edge tuner, and P-tex for full edge and base work.
  • Full wax selection — Five USA-made blends: cold, warm, and three universal, so you have the right wax for any snow condition.
  • Heavy-duty carry case — Keeps everything organized and portable.

How often should you tune skis?

Wax every 3–5 ski days or whenever the bases look dry and white along the edges. Touch up edges every 5–8 days, or right after a rock strike. Fill base damage as soon as you see it so moisture can't reach the core. A storage wax at the end of the season keeps the bases from drying out over summer.

Demon waxes are made in the USA.
