How to choose
Convertible vs. fixed chin guard
A removable chin guard (the FR Link's FLIP EASY system) lets you run the helmet open-face on the climb and clip the chin bar back on for the descent — ideal if one helmet has to do everything. A fixed full-face like the Podium is simpler and easier on the wallet, and a great pick when you're mostly riding lift-served or downhill terrain.
Certifications
Every Demon bike helmet is CPSC certified for bicycle use. If you ride aggressive downhill or split time between dirt and snow, step up to the Podium X MIPS, which adds MIPS rotational protection and four independent certifications including ASTM F1952 for downhill MTB.
Sizing & fit
Measure the circumference of your head just above the eyebrows and match it to each helmet's size range above. The Podium full-face runs small — if you're at the edge of a size, size up. The FR Link helmets use a cinch-tight rear dial and include extra fit-kit padding to fine-tune the fit.
