The Zero RF is the knee pad you put on and stop thinking about. Recycled D3O® RF foam and thick comfort foam inside a soft, flexible neoprene body — with silicone grip bands that lock the pad in place and soft-touch Velcro that secures without the scratch. The body is built from soft, flexible neoprene — the same material used in wetsuits for its unique combination of stretch, structure, and thermal comfort. D3O® RF is a recycled non-Newtonian smart foam — it moves exactly the way your knee moves during normal riding, flexing through crouches, jumps, and edge catches without stiffening up or fighting back.
Layered underneath is thick comfort foam that cushions routine contact — the constant low-level knocks that build up across a full day of park laps or resort riding. Between the two materials, the Zero RF handles both ends of the impact spectrum: the sudden slams and the slow grind of all-day wear.

Most riders wear them directly over a base layer under their ski or snowboard pants and report them as easy to forget about once they're on. Size according to the Demon chart — a pad that's too large will bunch under the pants and create exactly the bulk you're trying to avoid. When properly sized, they should feel snug but not compressive, with no bunching at the top or bottom edge.

Will the knee pads stay in place during riding, or will they slide down?
The Zero RF uses a two-part retention system specifically designed to prevent the mid-run sliding that makes most riders give up on knee pads. Internal silicone grip bands run against the leg and create passive friction hold — they lock the pad against the skin without compression, so the pad stays put through crouches, jumps, and hard landings without you doing anything. The soft-touch Velcro closure at the top adds a secondary mechanical lock, adjustable to your leg circumference, without the scratchy bite of standard hook-and-loop closures.
