Demon United Zero RF D3O® Ski & Snowboard Knee Pads
Demon Zero RF D3O® Ski & Snowboard Knee Pads — Recycled Smart Foam. No Bulk. Fits Under Anything.
The Zero RF is the knee pad you put on and stop thinking about. Recycled D3O® RF foam and thick comfort foam inside a soft, flexible neoprene body — with silicone grip bands that lock the pad in place and soft-touch Velcro that secures without the scratch. Slim enough to disappear under any pants. Smart enough to take the hit when you don't see it coming.
Most knee pads make you choose between protection and wearability. You either strap on something that actually absorbs hits and spend the whole day fighting the bulk, or you wear something slim enough to forget about that does nothing when you slam. The Zero RF doesn't make you choose.
The body is built from soft, flexible neoprene — the same material used in wetsuits for its unique combination of stretch, structure, and thermal comfort. It conforms to the shape of your knee rather than imposing its own shape on you, moving naturally through every degree of flex without bunching, twisting, or riding up. Breathable enough for long sessions, durable enough to take a beating across a full season.
D3O® RF is a recycled non-Newtonian smart foam — it moves exactly the way your knee moves during normal riding, flexing through crouches, jumps, and edge catches without stiffening up or fighting back.
Layered underneath is thick comfort foam that cushions routine contact — the constant low-level knocks that build up across a full day of park laps or resort riding. Between the two materials, the Zero RF handles both ends of the impact spectrum: the sudden slams and the slow grind of all-day wear.
The elastic Velcro closure system is built to stay put. No rotating, no sliding, no reaching down mid-run to drag your pad back up your leg. It wraps the knee securely without pressure points or that circulation-cutting squeeze that makes you want to tear the whole thing off by midday. Keeping it all exactly where you set it are internal silicone grip bands that run against the leg and create friction hold without straps or compression.Low-profile enough to layer cleanly under any ski or snowboard pants, you'll forget you've got them on — which is exactly the point.
Available in youth through adult sizing and built from 100% recycled D3O® Zero foam, the Zero RF is the everyday knee pad for every rider in the group. Not the pad for your biggest slams — that's the Hyper X V7. The Zero RF is the one you put on every single day because you never know which run is going to be the one that counts.

The soft neoprene body conforms to the knee's natural shape — no bunching, no restriction through any degree of flex. Silicone grip bands hold the pad against the leg without compression. Soft-touch Velcro cinches without the bite.
Low-profile under any pants, youth through adult sizing, 100% recycled D3O® foam. The Zero RF is the pad you put on every day — reliable, slim, and smart enough to work when you need it.
Most knee pads feel like a compromise — The Zero D3O® RF solves both: pliable at rest, resets instantly. Thick comfort foam handles the rest.
Frequently asked questions
Will these fit under ski or snowboard pants without showing?
Yes — low-profile under-pant wear is the entire point of the Zero RF. The soft neoprene body sits close to the leg without creating a visible pad outline under outerwear, and the slim D3O RF and comfort foam stack doesn't add bulk at the knee cap the way hard-shell pads do. Most riders wear them directly over a base layer under their ski or snowboard pants and report them as easy to forget about once they're on. Size according to the Demon chart — a pad that's too large will bunch under the pants and create exactly the bulk you're trying to avoid. When properly sized, they should feel snug but not compressive, with no bunching at the top or bottom edge.
What is the difference between the Zero RF and the Hyper X V7 knee pads?
Two different pads for two different jobs. The Zero RF is the everyday pad — recycled D3O RF foam inside a soft neoprene body, slim enough to disappear under any pants, light enough to forget about between crashes. It's built for riders who want reliable daily knee protection without armor bulk. The Hyper X V7 is the full-send option — D3O Range (a higher-performance grade), a ballistic Kevlar front shield that resists abrasion from rails, concrete, and ice, and a triple-layer construction built for riders taking serious hits in the park, on technical MTB terrain, or anywhere the consequences of a slam are real. If you're cruising, progressing, or just want coverage every day — Zero RF. If you're sending it and need the protection to match — Hyper X V7.
Will the knee pads stay in place during riding, or will they slide down?
The Zero RF uses a two-part retention system specifically designed to prevent the mid-run sliding that makes most riders give up on knee pads. Internal silicone grip bands run against the leg and create passive friction hold — they lock the pad against the skin without compression, so the pad stays put through crouches, jumps, and hard landings without you doing anything. The soft-touch Velcro closure at the top adds a secondary mechanical lock, adjustable to your leg circumference, without the scratchy bite of standard hook-and-loop closures. If you've ditched other knee pads because they ended up around your ankle by noon, the grip band system is the fix.
